Marvin Harris of Fox Carolina is reporting that the VA is writing new rules that will make it easier for veterans assigned to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune where they were exposed to contaminated water containing industrial solvents to receive compensation if they develop Parkinson's disease. But the time it will take the VA to rewrite its rules allowing uncontested payments for PD means that affected veterans may have to wait up to a year to receive compensation.
